the paper mama's photo challenge

This is a photo of my furry baby. Her name is Tater Tot and she is one of the sweetest dogs. She is also a stinker, having eaten some human dinners from our kitchen counter over the past couple of days. Yet somehow, no matter what our babies do, we get over being mad at them and show them some love.

I started reading The Paper Mama's blog from a post I found on Pinterest. Now I'm addicted. She has a photo challenge each week. Amongst other tidbits is an adorable interview of her two-year-old daughter by the Mama's readers. Check it out when you get the chance.

recipe: mac n cheeze

This weekend I decided that I would try a new recipe. One of my favorite comfort foods is macaroni and cheese. Since I became vegan almost six years ago (I can't believe it's been that long!), mac 'n' cheese has definitely been altered so that I can still enjoy the creaminess without the dairy. There is another that I have been using from the Follow Your Heart recipe book. The one I used this weekend was very different, especially with using cauliflower instead of any type of noodles. Below is the recipe, altered from Vegetarian Times.

pom pom fun

I had made this pink, fuzzy pom pom a while ago. It sat around without a stem for a long time. While cleaning up this weekend, I decided to finish it.

Isn't it sweet? I love the bright pop of color and the texture it brings to all of my items combined.
